Bakery & Florist Shop

Project Overview

The Cookie Garden is a senior-level branding project that explores the fusion of two unexpected concepts a bakery and a florist shop, into one cohesive and whimsical brand identity.

Originally developed for a senior showcase, the project represents a playful yet thoughtful approach to branding that celebrates craftsmanship, creativity, and charm. Logo & Brand Elements

Made in Adobe Illustrator

Logo 1

Logo Variations

Logo 1 features a stacked composition with an illustrated floral cookie icon as a focal point, emphasizing the brand’s playful, handmade quality.

Logo 2 introduces a horizontal layout with a smaller icon, designed for wider applications such as packaging labels, signage, and digital headers. Together, these variations allow the brand to adapt across different touchpoints while preserving consistency and recognizability.

Color Palette

A soft, garden-inspired color palette was developed using muted florals and warm neutrals. These colors evoke freshness, comfort, and creativity while reinforcing the brand’s whimsical tone.

Typography

Refined, friendly typefaces were selected to reflect both approachability and craftsmanship. The typography balances character-driven display styles with clean supporting text to ensure readability and consistency across applications.

Illustration & Patterns

Illustrative patterns are inspired by flowers, cookies, and ere incorporated to enhance storytelling and add personality. These details help unify the bakery and florist concepts into a single visual language.

Magazine Ad 1

Magazine Ad Concepts

The ads combine literal imagery with visual irony, in brand clarity, while ironic composition introduces contrast and visual interest, reinforcing a playful yet conceptual narrative.

  • Develop a visual system that feels whimsical, warm, and refined

  • Communicate craftsmanship and creativity through thoughtful design choices

  • Apply the brand across multiple real-world touchpoints

Logo 2

Brand Concept

The Cookie Garden is inspired by the idea of treats grown with care, where freshly baked cookies meet the beauty and elegance of a garden in bloom. The brand blends comfort and creativity, pairing the warmth of handcrafted baked goods with the softness and charm of floral aesthetics.

This balance allows the brand to feel playful yet intentional, appealing to customers who value both quality and experience.

Logo System

Two logo compositions were created using consistent typography and color to explore hierarchy and layout flexibility. The variations support both stacked and horizontal applications while reinforcing The Cookie Garden’s warm, whimsical brand personality.

Design System

A cohesive design system was created to ensure the brand translates seamlessly across packaging, print, and promotional materials. Consistent layouts, spacing, and visual hierarchy help maintain clarity while allowing room for playful expression.

Event Poster Concept

The event poster was designed to promote a fundraising event that supports and extends the business created for this project. To align with the project rubric, the visual direction intentionally deviates from the core brand identity through a bold, contrasting color palette and a more experimental composition.

A farmers market theme was chosen to conceptually connect the bakery and florist hybrid, referencing the use of infused flowers as ingredients within the cookies. Organic shapes, high-contrast color blocking, and strong typographic hierarchy were used to create an energetic, community-focused aesthetic while remaining relevant to the brand’s narrative.
